Sponsoring KAC (Çѱ¹¾î)
Effective as of July 29, 2004, KAC-DFW is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization so all of your contributions are tax deductible by law.
| The Korean American Coalition – Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter (KAC-DFW) would like to provide you with the opportunity to become one of the organization¡¯s sponsors. The Korean American Coalition officially chartered the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter on August 30, 2004. However, in a few short years, KAC-DFW has already achieved significant recognition for its efforts to promote and support the Korean American community. That recognition was made possible due to the many exciting and successful programs and events that we have organized to date, all of which were made possible due to the selfless commitment of the many volunteers that make up KAC-DFW, as well as the support, assistance and sponsorship of concerned individuals who see the importance of facilitating the Korean American community¡¯s increased participation in civic, legislative and community affairs.
Some of the many accomplishments achieved by KAC-DFW, to date, include:
- Leading the efforts to promote voter registration among the Korean American community and registering over 1000 Korean Americans since the chapter's inception (90% of whom were registering for the first time).
- Providing transportation to voting locations and assisting individuals, in both Dallas and Denton County, through the voting process by translating instructions for them at the voting booths.
- Organizing and hosting seminars to provide important information of interest to the Korean American community.
- Organizing and participating in numberous candidate forums in conjunction with DFW-AACC and GDAACC.
- Negotiating with the City of Dallas for improvements to be made at the intersection of Royal Lane and Emerald Street in the heart of the Korean business community.
- Working with DART on the design of the new rail station at the intersection of Royal Lane/Denton Road, which is located in the Asian Trade District.
- Working with the City of Dallas on plans for the construction of a new Asian Community Center.
- Taking part in and conducting many other events and programs in order to promote the interests of and increase awareness of the Korean American community.
|
In order to continue to provide these types of programs and events and promote the interests of the Korean American community, we look to those persons who see the need for and importance of KAC-DFW and ask that you support the Korean American community by becoming a sponsor of KAC-DFW.
We look forward to the future of the Korean American community. We have several major goals and projects for each year, including voter registration, providing transportation to the polls for our senior citizens, providing educational and candidate forums, providing citizenship fairs to assist individuals seeking US citizenship, and coordinating with KAC-National on national issues affecting the Korean American community.
To reach our many goals and pursue these projects, we need your help. It is individuals, such as yourself, who make our organization possible and we ask you to help us so that we can pursue the needs and interests of the Korean American community. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Chong H. Choe
President, KAC-DFW
