![]() KAC-DFW and the Korean American community have reached an exciting point in the development of a national and local Korean American voice. With its recognition as the fourteenth chapter of the Korean American Coalition on August 30, 2004, KAC-DFW has the opportunity to work on a local and national level in order to promote the interests of the Korean American community and assist the community in becoming better integrated into society at large. In conjunction with that hope, KAC-DFW is launching its Internship Program in order to assist the student population in finding an avenue to gain experience in the world of community relations. An internship with KAC-DFW will provide participants valuable contact with local, state and national leaders, as well as a glimpse into the role of those organizations that focus on community service. Not only will participants receive this exposure, they will meet with numerous individuals that will prove to be invaluable later on as contacts, references and potential employers. In addition, interns will be permitted to work directly with the executive staff and board of KAC-DFW in order to formulate a vision for the annual goals of the organization, as well as to plan and be involved in the myriad of events and programs that KAC-DFW is involved with throughout the year. Furthermore, interns will have received an experience that can lead them into leadership roles in the future and the possibility of future placement at a variety of area businesses and government agencies. KAC-DFW intends to select several interns for the 2005 calendar year. To download the application, please click Download Internship Application. |
