Evening with Ms. Hyepin Im

KAC-DFW, in conjunction with the Dallas Korean CBMC, Korean Christian Community Center and Dallas Korean Society, hosted an evening with Ms. Hyepin Im, Founder and President of Korean Churches for Community Development (KCCD) on June 23, 2005. Ms. Im provided approximately 30 attendees with information on the Korean population in the United States, as well as the programs and opportunities KCCD already provides to the Korean community in California. The presentation featured information on how the Korean community in Dallas could take advantage of assistance that is already being received by other communities in Dallas and the United States

The next evening, Ms. Im was gracious enough to meet with several Korean community leaders in order to discuss the possibility of implementing these programs in the Dallas area. As such, there was tentative discussion on holding a full training program in Dallas at some point in the future in order to begin working toward learning how to implement these programs, which included home buying, job training, after school programs and other opportunities.
